Bandicota bengalensis Gray, 1835 - (lesser bandicoot rat)
This bandicoot rat lives in south-western parts of Asia and is a serious pest, causing damage to crops like rice and creating large burrows around human settlements. Its body can reach a length of about 25 cm.
