Bacillus thuringiensis Cry9A-toxin (entomopathogen)
This toxin has been show to be effective against a number of Lepidoptera species like Phthorimaea operculella or Thaumetopoea pityocampa. The toxin can be isolated from several Bt strains like Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki or Bacillus thuringiensis var. galleriae (e.g. see Meiyalaghan et al., 2006).
