Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1F-toxin (entomopathogen)

This endotoxin is produced by several Bacillus thuringiensis varieties, for example by B. t. var. aizawai. It is active against a number of foliar, ear-feeding and stalk boring Lepidopteran pests, like species of the genera Spodoptera, Helicoverpa, or Diatraea. It has been also incorporated into genetically-modified maize and cotton cultivars.
