Field observations on locusts in Eastern Africa
Anti-Locust Bulletin 5, 1-74
Abstract: This is an account of investigations, carried out in 1932-1935, in Uganda, Kenya and southern Somalia, which yielded reliable evidence in favour of the view that these countries do not harbour outbreak centres of Locusta migratoria rnigratorioides. Schistocerca gregaria or Nomadacris septemfasciata. Detailed ecological data are given with regard to habitats of locusts in East Africa, as well as observations on life-cycle and other aspects of their biology.
