Anopheles vagus Doentiz, 1902
The mosquito is found in southern parts of Asia and is common in some areas, for example in countries like India or Bangladesh. It feeds mainly on cattle. It can occasionally carry Plasmodium vivax sporozoites and is suspected to be able to transmit malaria.
