Anopheles sergentii (Theobald, 1907)
This mosquito is found in northern Africa and western Asia and has been described as an oasis species, able to live under dry conditions. Humans, domestic animals and other mammals have been reported as host and it considered to be able to transmit malaria. It breeds in shallow accumulations of clean water like irrigation channels, rice fields or springs.
