Anopheles rhodesiensis Theobald, 1901

This mosquito is found in many parts of Africa, but is more common in central and eastern parts. Breeding in rock pools has been reported. The breeding sites in Mauritania have been described as the "cold and shaded water of springs ... with or without vegetation and organic debris" (Lemine et al., 2017).
