Anopheles pursati Laveran, 1902

This mosquito is found in parts of south-eastern Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia). It bites humans (Rohani et al., 2016), but has been reported to be mainly a pest of livestock. It is unknown whether it can carry malaria parasites. However, it is a potential vector of lymphatic filariasis caused by Brugia malayi (Saeung et al., 2013). Taxonomically, An. pursati belongs to the Anopheles hyrcanus group.
