Anopheles nitidus Harrison, Scanlon & Reid, 1973
This mosquito species is found in southern Asia form India to Vietnam and south to parts of Indonesia. It readily bites humans, but has not been shown to transmit any diseases (Songsawatkiat et al., 2014). Taxonomically A. nitidus belongs to the Hyrcanus group.
