Anopheles marshallii (Theobald, 1903)
This mosquito is found in central and southern parts of Africa. It has a wide host range which includes rodents, wild ungulates, great apes, and bats (Makanga et al., 2017). An. marshallii is regarded as a minor malaria vector (Bamou et al., 2021). Taxonomically, it forms a species complex together several other related species (Lambert & Coetzee, 1982).
