Anopheles longirostris Brug, 1928
This mosquito is found in Papua New Guinea and north-eastern Australia. It has been reported mainly from forests and dense vegetation, where it breeds in water pools. It feeds on humans and is regarded as a vector of human malaria, although probably not an important one, considering its habitat.
