Anopheles kleini Rueda, 2005
This species of mosquito is found in eastern Asia and is common in Korea. In laboratory assays it has been shown to be a competent vector of vivax malaria (Plasmodium vivax). Breeding has been recorded in stagnant water like rice paddies, ditches or ponds (Kim et al., 2011). Taxonomically, it is part of the Anopheles hyrcanus group.
