Anopheles fluminensis Root, 1927

This mosquito is found in southern parts of Brazil and neighbouring countries. It bites humans, but its role as a possible malaria vector remains unclear. Breeding has been reported in small water pools and branches of streams (Ramirez et al., 2016).
