Anopheles apicimacula Dyar & Knab, 1906

This mosquito is found in Central America and northern parts of South America. It may bite humans and has been collected in human landing catch surveys. Although it has been reported from malaria areas, nothing is known about its ability to transmit the disease.

Identification keys have been published in the following three articles: 1) for adult males, 2) for fourth-instar larvae and 3) for adult females.
