Anchusa arvensis (weed) (L.) M.Bieb. - (small bugloss)

This plant is native to Europe and has been introduced into other regions like the Americas and Australia. It can be common in fields, competing with crops like rape/canola or grapevine.

The plant grows to a height of around 50 cm. The elongated leaves and stems are densely covered with white hairs. The flowers are small and blue and each of them develops 4 nutlets.
