Amblyomma lepidum Dönitz, 1909
This tick is found in eastern Africa and the Near East. In some areas it is an important parasite of cattle. It can transmit several livestock diseases like heartwater of sheep and bovine farcy of cattle, an inflammation of the lymph nodes caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium farcinogenes. The female tick is around 5-7 mm long.
