Aeschynomene virginica (weed) (L.) B.S.P. - (northern joint vetch, Virginia jointvetch)
This species has been reported as a weed of rice and soybean in North America. However, it is sometimes confused with Aeschynomene indica and its status as a weed is not clear. Several studies have investigated the use of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides f.sp. aeschynomene as a bioherbicide against A. virginica.
