Aedes hensilli Farner, 1945
The mosquito is endemic and common in the Yap islands (Micronesia). It has been also recorded from neighbouring parts of the north-western Pacific. In laboratory studies it has been shown to be able to transmit the Zika, chikungunya, and dengue-2 viruses (Ledermann et al., 2014).
