Aedes annulipes (Meigen, 1830)

This mosquito is found in most parts of Europe and in some neighbouring countries. It has been described as strongly anthropophilic and breeds in fresh water marshes or ditches. A. annulipes is similar to Aedes cantans but the white bands on the legs are wider.
