Remarks My research interests focus on how forest insects respond to their environment and how knowledge about insect behaviours can be used to deal with insect pests. I have been working with two species of tree-killing bark beetles (Dendroctonus ponderosae and Ips typographus), and two weevil species that cause damage to conifer seedlings (Hylobius abietis) and young conifer trees (Hylobius warreni).
