Eutypa lata (Pers. 1796) Tul. & C. Tul. 1863

The fungus causes a serious dieback disease of grapevine in North America, Europe, Australia and Africa. The trunk shows a dark and wedge-shaped necrosis of the wood tissue. It also infects various other crops, e.g. current.
