Macrotermes gilvus (Hagen, 1858)
This mound-building termite attacks crops and wood products in south-eastern Asia. These include wooden posts and fences as well as any wood in contact with the ground. It is larger than other termites like Coptotermes gestroi and will compete with and attack these species when they are encountered in wood.
