Chlorochroa sayi Stål, 1872 - (Says stink bug)

This polyphagous stink bug is found in western and central parts of North America. It has been occasionally reported as a pest of tomatoes and other crops.

The adults are around 12 mm long and green with lighter spots. The outer margin is yellowish and the three corners of the scutellum are whitish with an additional white mark in the middle of the upper margin. Taxonomically, this species is closely related to Chlorochroa uhleri. Both species are difficult to separate and have been often confused with each other.
