Apocynum cannabinum (weed) L. - (hemp dogbane)
This plants is typically 30 to 60 cm tall and reproduces through seeds and creeping rootstocks. It is a common weed in many parts of North America and infests crops like maize, sorghum or soybean, reducing their yield significantly. It is also poisonous to livestock due to cardiac glycosides in its milky sap.
