Montandoniola confusa (predator) Pluot-Sigwalt et al., 2009
This bug is a predator of thrips and is thought to be native to south-eastern Asia but is also found in southern Europe, parts of Africa and the Americas. It has been released as a biological control agents against several thrips species, e.g. in Hawaii, Texas and California. In some publications this thrips has been erroneously referred to as Montandoniola moraguesi (Pluot-Sigwalt et al., 2009).
