Simaroubaceae (weeds) - (quassia family)

The family includes trees and shrubs, mainly in the tropics. They are characterized by having a bitter bark and compound, alternate leaves. While many species are useful, the tree-of-heaven has been introduced as an ornamental outside its native range in Asia and has become invasive in various regions.
