Sordariomycetes (entomopathogens)
This is an important class of ascomycete fungi with many plant pathogenic as well as beneficial species.

The following orders of entomopathogenic Sordariomycetes are included in the system:
- Glomerellales - 1 species
- Hypocreales (e.g. Beauveria or Metarhizium) - 40
- Microascales (e.g.Scopulariopsis) - 2
