This is a complex of genetically different viruses which infect mainly cucurbits and are transmitted by whiteflies. Yield losses of more than 50% have been reported for some epidemics. On squash, the symptoms include leaf-curling, mottling and chlorosis of the young leaves.
See below for a list of the different varieties of this complex of viruses. They have a bipartite genome consisting of single-stranded DNA (DNA-A and DNA-B).
