Chrysomeloidea (leaf beetles and long-horn beetles)
This superfamily is very large and includes leaf feeding and wood boring insects, like the Chrysomelidae (leaf beetles) or the Cerambycidae (long-horned beetles). The members are characterized, among others, by the morphology of the antennae, the coxae and the mandibles of the larvae. The tarsi have 5 segments with the 4th segment being very small and concealed. Ocelli are absent.
The following families of Chrysomeloidea have been entered into the system:
- Bruchidae (21 species)
- Cerambycidae (65 species)
- Chrysomelidae (81 species)
