Abstract: After a brief description of the region, a list of pests recorded during 1960 and 1961 is given under the name of each host plant. Orthopterans included included Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa on tomato (Lycopericum exculentum), potato (Solanum tuberosum), and eggplant (S. melongina), and Schistocerca gregaria on wheat (Triticum spp.) and barley (Hordeum spp.).
