[Investigations on the Pentatomidae (Heteroptera) fauna in wheat-growing areas in the southeastern Anatolia Region (Turkey)]

Abstract: In this study, 17 species belonging to the family Pentatomidae were recorded on wheat (Triticum vulgare) in Adiyaman, Batman, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Mus, Siirt, Sanliurfa and Sirnak provinces of Turkey. Among these species, Carpocoris purpureipennis (De G.), Dolycoris baccarum (L), Piezodorus lituratus (F.), Sciocoris sulcatus Fieb., Eysarcoris inconspicuus (H.-S.) were recorded to be important pests, being widespread and abundant. Palomena viridissima (Pd.), Carpocoris pudicus (Pd.), Acrosternum heegeri (Fieb.), Eurydema ornatum (L.), Holcostethus vernalis (W.), Aella acuminata (L.), Eurydema ventrale Klt., Aelia rostrata Bh., Ventocoris horvathi (Put.), Sciocoris maculatus Fieb., Bagrada confusa (Horv.), and Graphosoma stali (Horv.) had low population levels and were rare.
