Turkish Journal of Entomology 28 (2), 141-150
Abstract: This study conducted in strawberry fields of Bursa during 1998-2000 was aimed at determining the diversity of Melolonthidae, Cetoniidae, Buprestidae and Elateridae families of the order Coleoptera. Sampling was performed at weekly intervals between May and August and at biweekly intervals in early spring and fall. Visual observation and sweep netting were used for sampling. A total of 19 Coleoptera species composed of 3, 4, 2 and 10 species belonged to the families of Melolonthidae, Cetoniidae, Buprestidae and Elateridae, respectively. Two new species were found. The distribution, pest status and population levels of all species were studied in strawberry fields in Bursa.
