Thelohaniidae (entomopathogens)
This family of microsporidia infects various organisms including several insect pests from the orders Hymenoptera and Diptera. Kneallhazia solenopsae causes a disease in fire ants in North and South America. It has been studied as a biological control agent of imported fire ants like Solenopsis invicta.
