Thaumetopoea pinivora Treitschke 1834 - (northern pine processionary moth)
The moth feeds on Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) in northern regions of Europe. It is also found in southern Europe in scattered populations, mainly in mountainous areas, where it sometimes has other pine species as host plants.
