Tetropium castaneum (Linné, 1758) - (chestnut-coloured longhorn beetle)
This long-horned beetle is found in Europe and temperate parts of Asia. It infests mainly felled trunks of conifer trees, but can also attack weakened and dying trees. It is of quarantine concern in North America.
