Stralarivirus (genus)

This genus of plant viruses contains viruses similar to the strawberry latent ringspot virus (assigned to Stralarivirus fragariae. That virus has small (~ 30 nm) icosahedral, non-enveloped particles and is transmitted by nematodes. The genus is mainly defined by its RNA structure which differs significantly from that of related genera like Nepovirus or Comovirus.
