Stenothrips graminum Uzel 1895 - (oat thrips)

This thrips is found in different parts of Europe and in neighbouring regions. It lives on oats, other cereals and grasses, infesting the flowers. While it reduces the number of seeds produced, the economic damage is usually small. The adults are around 1 mm long with a brown to yellow-brown colouration.
