Spalangia nigra (parasitoid) Latreille, 1805
This wasp is widely distributed in Europe, temperate parts of Asia and North America. It is a pupal parasite of several fly species, mainly filth flies like Musca domestica, Stomoxys calcitrans or Chrysomya megacephala. For oviposition, females search for fly pupae buried in the breeding substrate (King et al., 2018). Development of the parasitoid inside the fly pupa takes 2-4 weeks.
