Rotylenchulus Linford & Oliveira, 1940 - (reniform nematodes)
This genus contains around 10 semi-endoparasitic nematodes. They are mainly found in tropical and subtropical regions and attack various field crops and trees. Rotylenchulus reniformis is the most important species. It is widely distributed and infests many crops like cotton, leguminous crops or pineapple.
The mature females are kidney-shaped, with the neck being less swollen. They have a postmedian vulva and a short pointed tail. The cuticle is annulated.
