Reticulitermes flaviceps (Oshima, 1908)
This termite is found in eastern Asia where it is regarded as a pest of wooden structures. However, it is less destructive then some Coptotermes species in that region and also appears to be an important food source for the Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla) in some areas, a rare and threatened mammal (Li et al., 2011). Several subspecies have been described.
