Rapistrum rugosum (weed) (L.) All. - (turnip weed)

This plant is apparently native to southern parts of Europe, but is now widely distributed in other regions. It is a serious agricultural and environmental weed in several areas like parts of South America or Australia.

R. rugosum is highly competitive, invading natural and disturbed habitats or growing in crops like cereals, in orchards and in pastures. It can reduce chickpea yield by 40% (Whish et al., 2002). The plant can adapt to different environmental conditions.
