Pseudodendrothrips mori (Niwa 1908) - (mulberry thrips)

This thrips infests the young shoots of mulberry, feeding on the lower sides of the leaves. It may also be found on other plants of the family Moraceae. P. mori is native in Europe and Asia and probably introduced in North America. On mulberry it can cause significant damage, affecting the leaf production of the plants and indirectly sericultures.
