predators - Platyhelminthes

Some Platyhelminthes (flatworms) have been used for the biological control of arthropods and snail pests. For example, Platydemus manokwari has been introduced into several countries in attempts to control the giant African snail (Lissachatina fulica). Typically, this group consists of general predators which often have significant effects on non-target animals.
