Porcellio scaber Latreille, 1804 (common slater)

This pill-bug is native to Europe but has been imported to other regions through human activities. It is common in moist basements where it feeds on stored vegetables and fruits. It may also feed during the night on crops, causing occasional damage to vegetables in gardens.
