New host plants for Ralstonia solanacearum from India
Plant Pathology 59 (6), 1164-1164
Abstract: Davana (Artemisia pallens) and coleus (Coleus forskohlii) plants grown in India were observed with wilt symptoms and oozing from cut stems placed in water. The bacterium Ralstonia solanacearum was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on the nutritional profile, specific antisera, electron microscopy and PCR analysis. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation.
