Powdery mildew caused by Erysiphe sp. on Lagerstroemia indica newly reported in Turkey
Plant Pathology 58 (2), 397-397
Abstract: During 2008, landscape Lagerstroemia indica trees grown in Turkey were observed with powdery mildew symptoms on both leaf surfaces, causing leaf distortions, withering and reduced growth. A fungus of the genus Erysiphe was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
