Capparis spinosa - a new host for Sclerotium rolfsii
Plant Pathology 55 (4), 580-580
Abstract: Caper (Capparis spinosa) plants with whitish mycelium and rotting tissue at the base of shoots were observed in Italy. A fungus isolated from diseased plants was identified as Sclerotium rolfsii. The pathogenicity of the isolated fungus was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
