First report of Pseudophaeomoniella oleae causing wood streaking and decay on olive trees in Greece
Plant Disease 106 (8), 2263-2263
Abstract: During 2017 and 2019, olive trees (Olea europaea) grown in Greece were observed with symptoms of wilting, yellowing of leaves, twig and branch dieback, and internal discoloration of vascular tissue. The fungus Pseudophaeomoniella oleae was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics and DNA sequence analysis. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation.
