First report of Fusarium incarnatum causing spikelet rot on rice in China
Plant Disease 105 (10 - 2660)
Abstract: During 2019, rice plants (Oryza sativa) grown in Shanghai were observed with symptoms of reddish or brown discoloration on the glumes with a disease incidence of between 20 and 80%. The fungus Fusarium incarnatum was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics and DNA sequence analysis. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
