First report of Cotton leafroll dwarf virus infecting cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) in Kansas
Plant Disease 104 (6), 1880-1880
Abstract: During 2019, cotton plants (Gossypium hirsutum) grown in Kansas, U.S.A. were observed with symptoms of leaf yellowing, discoloration, reddening, and short internodes with reduced or small boll sets. Disease incidence based on virus-like symptoms was ~1 to 15% depending on the affected fields. The presence of Cotton leafroll dwarf virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
